It’s a clean sweep for both divisions on Saturdy morning at The Bend, with Marold taking the top spot in both Gen2 sessions, while Gotch did the same thing in Gen1. Both leaders had a clear pace advantage, but the fights for second and third were incredibly close across the board.

Gen2: Marold Stays Ahead

Marold was the fastest driver in Gen2. He topped the timesheets in both sessions and even improved on his own lap time in Qualifying 2.

Marold set the pace on Q1 with a 1:17.52. Beck was right behind him, finishing just 0.12 seconds back for second place. Manson took third, 0.38 seconds behind the leader.

In Q2, Marold found a little more speed in the second session, dropping his time to 1:17.41 to take pole again. The battle for second flipped this time. Manson found some extra pace to take the spot, finishing 0.198 seconds behind Marold, which pushed Beck down to third (+0.39s).

Gen2 Qualifying 1 Results:

  2. Beck: 1:17.64 (+0.12s)
  3. Manson: 1:17.90 (+0.38s)

Gen2 Qualifying 2 Results:

  1. Marold: 1:17.41
  2. Manson: 1:17.61 (+0.198s)
  3. Beck: 1:17.79 (+0.39s)

Gen1: Gotch Leads, Wilson and Culver Trade Places

In the Gen1 category, Gotch swept both sessions and set a fast sub-1:20 lap in the first outing. Behind him, Wilson and Culver had two very tight battles for second place.

In Q1, Gotch broke the 1:20 mark early with a 1:19.92. Culver took second place with a 1:20.28, narrowly beating Wilson (1:20.31) by just 0.03 seconds.

Gotch secured the top spot again in Q2, this time with a 1:20.30, finishing over seven tenths of a second ahead of the pack. The fight for second swapped around from Q1. Wilson edged out Culver by just 0.01 seconds, setting a 1:21.06 compared to Culver’s 1:21.07.

  3. Wilson: 1:20.31 (+0.39s)

Gen1 Qualifying 2 Results:

  1. Gotch: 1:20.30

  3. Culver: 1:21.07 (+0.77s)
